There are a couple of options on how to do affiliate marketing. The options includne Google Adwords, advertise through your own website, and email/article marketing. Today we gonna discuss the easiest and fastest way to start, and that is through Google Adwords.
So what is Google Adwords ? Google Adwords Select is a Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising system maintained by Google. If you use Google you have probably seen the Adwords. They appear as little text ads next to search results on Google.

- Create adwords account on google. This is the easy step. Just go to http://adwords.google.com/select and click to sign up !
- Find your own niche market. There is a couple of ways to find your own niche market. You can start from what your own interest is. For example: waterskiing, boxing, etc. Then you can go to http://inventory.overture.com. What this website does is to check how many searches on the keyword you enter in a certain month of the year. Becareful of choosing a very broad keyword !! This may cause a lot of untargetted visitors to see or click on your ads. For example: dont just advertise on Nokia handphones but be more specifics like Nokia 6600 handphones !!
- Find a good affiliate program for your product and get your link with your affiliate id. You can go to google and do a search on ‘your product/service + affiliate’. Make sure you check and compare the affiliate program since some affiliate programs are offering a much higher commission than the other.
- Next, make a list of keywords that people would likely enter when searching for that product or service. For example: Nokia N95 8gb handphone, Nokia N95 8gb handphones, Nokia 6600 comparison, cheap Nokia N95 8gb handphone, etc. The more you can expand your list, the better your targetted visitors will see your ads.
- Write a good ads and put a link with your affiliate id embbed in it !!
- Always start with a small daily limit and come back the next day to evaluate your ad campaign !
Affiliate marketing is a very broad subject, and most of the time, you wont succeed on your first try. Dont get discouraged. Look at other competitors ads, always reevaluate your ad campaign. It takes a lot of practices and time to learn, but there are a lot of tools offerred on the internet that can help you get results much faster.
